The town hall building was built in 1980 to be used as a medical clinic. The building was used continuously as such until the clinic was closed in 1994. In 1996, the town hall moved its offices into a portion of the building leaving space for a clinic in one side of the building.
The building has been recently renovated with a defining entrance into the town hall and clinic, a new roof and landscaping making the building again look newly constructed.
Housed in the town hall are the offices of the water department, Gas Board, municipal court, police department, and mayor’s office and council chambers.

In 1933 the town council built a new town hall and jail. It opened in April of that year. The original construction was a double brick wall and no wood framing was done for the walls. The bricks used on the building were bricks that had been part of the Alabama Christian College which had burned in the prior year. The two jail cells and a single room across the front served as the office for all departments until additions were made on the back and side of the building in later years.
The town hall was used until late 1992 when the offices were moved into the Gas Board office building.
The town council has recently renovated the exterior and interior of the building taking the building back to the original footprint. Additions on the back and side of the building were removed, as well as a partition that had been added to make two separate rooms in the front part of the building. The paneling was removed taking the walls back to the original brick.
The building has been preserved for future generations. Soon the town will apply to include the building in the Historical Register.
The Town of Berry is a proud member of the Alabama League of Municipalities.
